According to an article by CNN, “The nation's most undervalued real estate market is Fayetteville, N.C. At a median price of $175,800, the median house costs 21 percent below equilibrium.”

As of the summer of 2006, the market was described as always being influenced by military relocations, especially in summer months. First-time buyers were the most active buying segment. On averages, homes were still considered to be extremely affordable with an abundant supply at all price ranges.
